Paella is a famous Mediterranean rice dish. There are many varieties of recipes. Here is an example of addepted Paella. You can guess what style it is.

Cooking instruction

Use only long grain rice or parboiled rice for cooking. It will give a loose grain texture.

Usually chicken and sausage is cooked with other ingredients, then rice is added to it. For this recipe, they are cooked separately and added to rice later.

For 2 Servings
Ingredients
1 cup long grain or parboiled rice
2 1/2 cups chicken stock
2-3 chicken wing or drumstick
1/2 cup sliced sausage
1/2 cup sweet corn
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1 table spoon chopped garlic
1/8 - 1/4 cup cooking oil or olive oil
1 large egg
1/2 tea spoon ground turmeric

Cooking with sauce pan

 

Heat cooking oil or olive oil in a sauce pan under medium fire. Fry chicken wing and drumstick till half cooked. Addin sliced sausage and fry till all cooked. take out chicken and sausage and set it aside, leaving cooking oil in sauce pan.

Heat oil under medium fire. Addin chopped onion and chopped garlic. Stir fry till onion is translucence then pour in rice and stir till rice begin to be translucence. Addin turmeric and chicken stock. Mix well. Heat till rice boil then lower heat, close cover and let rice simmer till all stock is absorbed, stir occationally to prevent rice sticking to pan.

 

Addin chicken, suasage, chopped tomato, chopped pepper, corn and beaten egg. Mix well. Close cover and heat till rice is steaming again.

Off heat and let rice set in closed cover for 3-5 minutes.

 
Serve while hot.
